The Bridge That Gets You There

What Do Agents Want?

Recent articles published indicate that agents want, and demand, multiple carrier online quoting.    The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) released a policy statement on multi carrier rating products, stating, "...it is critical for the industry to accelerate current efforts to implement real-time multiple company rating."  The IIABA statement indicates the benefits to independent agents and brokers as these systems would free up valuable time to sell new policies and service their customers better.  QSEMCI is the answer.  Why not Demo today.

ACORD Conference

What is "Screen Scraping"?

Screen scraping is a technique in which a computer program extracts data from the display output of another computer program.  The key element that distinguishes screen scraping from regular data extractions is that the output being scraped was intended for human consumption, not machine interpretation.  The program doing the scraping is called a screen scraper.  Web scraping is a modern version of screen scraping and extends the functionality of screen scrapers to internet web pages.  In additional to data extraction capabilities, many web scrapers have the ability to insert data into web pages.  One of the features of the QSEMCI suite is to utilize web scraping in order to provide real-time rating from insurance carriers who don't have machine-friendly rating engines, but do have web based rating capabilities.
